  I had kept the memory of the sight of this film in the cinema a movie a bit long but very nice, true to Tim Burton in its extravagances of real mixed a bit too fantastic for it to look completely realistic. Seeing it again, comfortably installed in my couch, I had the impression that it was Tim Burton, but without the sides dark and obscure which generally go with : it is imbued with an optimism and a lightness which are in my opinion quite rare in his work, and the effect is truly radical. It is the heart swelling with joy, and with the desire to undertake the character of Edward Bloom, played by a still excellent Ewan McGregor. And then this is a wonderful story, which invites a reflection on the importance of stories in our lives : between the facts stricto censu, and a fictionalized version of events and motivations, we usually prefer to hear the latter... which can be an important source of good mood and motivation, and therefore perhaps of great achievements! A magnificent film, which has not made much noise, so to speak, which is unnoticed in the French theatres. What a shame because the story is fantastic, the actors very talented, special mention to Blake Lively that is stunning in the role of Adaline. The costumes are sumptuous... To see!! A good addition to the novels. It's quite rare to be able to make the parallel between the work and written a film scenario.

  Apart from that the blu-ray was unreadable (and then changed), nothing to say if this is just a masterpiece of Nicholas Spark and "beautifully" as performed! It is in the movie from the beginning, and you can not see the time pass. Has have absolutely! I love Joaquin Phoenix: I'm probably not very objective.
