  A NAS with very good performance and very good quality, but difficult to set up. For the price, this is a super deal! Of course, this disk works, despite some disconnections random, but it is far from plug & play way Apple, and that even if the inter-connectivity between devices on the same network Mac/Livebox is not so bad : the installation on the network simply by connecting the disk to the Livebox, it is quickly recognized by all computers on the network. And overall performance are on the rise...

  what more to ask... if not a lower price? I had already the experience of the DS212J that I was satisfied despite a capacity a fair bit. There the problem is solved and the migration was done without difficulty. The software included are very useful. I don't go back on the previous comments : this NAS is very powerful and opens up significant opportunities. But it is a little too noisy, where the star in the least. If you have less than 2 m in a quiet environment, you hear it, even in hibernation mode (the fan is rotating less quickly, but one still hears). So, like many, I replaced the fan by a Noctua NF-B9 (92 x 92 x 25 mm) and now it is very quiet! There remains the problem of the warranty, but apparently the Synology sends fans in case of failure or galling to its customers under warranty so... it's up to you. Corresponds to my expectations. Shipment fast and without any apparent shock. Works well, a little difficult at the beginning to get familiar with. The transcoding function useful 3g remote. Quite slow in the local transfer (not tried out) and the upnp-server, a picky eater, my old Stora is much better. Really disappointedProduct not tested completely, but all in all it works well.

  Do not expect wonders with this NAS (interface, flow limited).. Works perfectly well!!! I am satisfied with my purchase!! I recommend it for those who doubt its effectiveness! Install the package media, connect a USB drive to one of its ports, and copy your media files on it (which is faster than over the network). You can enjoy content on all the PCS in the network, the media gateways (my TV Sony connects but does not read divx formats, see, O my!   After a few months of use, this NAS is pretty good as well from a design standpoint that performance, I do not, however, give the maximum score because the management interface is pretty outdated compared to what can offer the competition.. For a NAS family, storage in bulk of photos and films. It works very well and is pretty quiet. (for the moment equipped with 2x 4tb WD Green) The installation is very intuitive and offers a multitude of possibility.
